My Experience with Glassesshop.com

Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories. In addition to protecting my eyes from the New Mexico sun, I love finding the perfect pair of sunglasses to complete my looks. Unfortunately, I am also very proficient at losing my sunglasses, forgetting them in store dressing rooms and on restaurant tables.

I was recently in the market for a new pair of sunglasses, when Glasseshop.com reached out to me for this project. At first, I was skeptical as to whether or not they would have anything that would fit my needs.

Mom's First Trip with Lewis N. Clark

As a first time mom and frequent traveler, preparing to go on my first trip as a mother was stressful and exciting. A few weeks ago I flew to Washington, DC for a couple of days to finish up my job. It was likely my final trip to DC for the foreseeable future.

The most stressful part of the trip was leaving my twins for the first time and also pumping for them for the duration of the trip. I also used the trip to test out a couple of products from Lewis N. Motherhood with Twins: The First Three Months

The first three months of my twins' lives have come and gone. I cannot believe it has flown by so quickly. If the next three months go by just as quickly, they will be approaching their first birthday before I know it!

I decided that I'm not going to post their names or photos on this blog, so I will be referring to them by their first initials Baby R and Baby G. I wanted to share with you some of my experiences during the last three months, and hopefully, some of you can relate to what I have to share or it might help you in the future.

NICU Time

As I mentioned before, the boys were born at 32 weeks. Immediately after birth, they were whisked away with daddy to the NICU. I was taken to the recovery room with only a glimpse of their little faces and bodies. It would be a full day before I would get to see them again and even longer before I got to hold each of them.

Seeing them in their isolettes with so many wires and the noise of the beeping monitors was a very traumatic experience. It felt like I did something wrong for them to have such a rough start at life.

6 Year Anniversary Weekend

This weekend marked our sixth wedding anniversary. Husband and I were able to spend some quality time together while the grandparents (his mom and stepdad) watched the little nuggets.

On Friday night, we attended the First Friday ARTScrawl, which is citywide. We started in Old Town visiting several galleries and then ended in Downtown for more galleries and then dinner.

This post is long overdue because I became a mother about four weeks before we were expecting! Unbeknownst to me at the time, the photo above was to be my last pregnancy bump shot!

We are 3/4 of the way there! But since I am having a scheduled c-section, we only have 6 or 7 weeks left before the babies are here! It feels like it is coming up so soon.

Pregnant with Twins - Week 29

The belly is definitely getting bigger! We are getting closer and closer to meeting the babies every day, and we are getting more and more prepared every day! This week was rough, but we made it through. 

Pregnant with Twins - Weeks 27 and 28

Last week was so busy that I missed my weekly update so you get two weeks in one today! We are officially in the third trimester! I can't believe it.

Twins Baby Shower

It was baby shower day this past Saturday! Or should I say BABIES shower? The shower was so adorable and fun. I can't thank Liza, Amanda and Rebecca enough for their kindness and thoughtfulness in putting this together! I hope all of our guests enjoyed themselves. 

Star Wars Half Marathon - The Light Side 2017 - Race Recap

As I mentioned in my last post, I completed the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Light Side at the Disneyland Resort in California on Sunday, January 15, 2017. This was my sixth half marathon, and I was 26 weeks pregnant with my chicken nugget twins on that date.
